2.00pm - Ceremony

St Mary of the Angels Church

Kings Road, Canton, Cardiff, CF11 9BX

This church is also equipped with a live web-feed, so if you are unable to attend in person, you have the option of watching us online! Just follow this link to give it a try.

Garden party, hog roast and dancing

Just a short walk down the road from the ceremony (watch out for our house - number 129 - on the left as you walk down Kings Road!), join us at St. Catherine's Church Hall for a garden party, hog roast and dancing.

The dancing will continue into the evening (but not into the wee small hours as we can't book the venue beyond 11.30pm!)

St Catherine's Church Hall, 169 Kings Road, CF11 9DE

We are also hoping (weather permitting) to have a picnic on a nearby beach on Sunday July 7th. We'll let people know details nearer the time.

Joining us in the evening?

We're extending invites to more local friends to join the party from 8pm directly at St. Catherine's. We're sorry we can't guarantee there'll be any of the hog roast left - but there should still be plenty of nibbles and drinks to fuel some serious dancing!

Picnic on Sunday July 7th

As lots of friends and family will still be around on Sunday July 7th, we invite anyone who wants to join us for a picnic in Bute Park (Cardiff) from around midday. We'll be somewhere very close to the entrance to the 'Secret Garden' - as close as possible to this location:

Look out for some red heart-shaped balloons. If you don't already have a mobile number for Juli or Dan, please email djwedding@thegallichans.co.uk so we can give you our numbers in advance so that you don't get lost on your own in the park without any friends.

Practical stuff

Where to stay in Cardiff

There are several small hotels on Cathedral Road, which is just a few mins walk from both venues for the ceremony and the garden party. The city-centre is around 20-25 mins walk away - and there is a wide selection of hotels across Cardiff centre.

Getting to Cardiff

If you are travelling from further afield, it might be useful to know that Cardiff has an international airport - but it is rather small and doesn't fly direct to many destinations. Bristol Airport is around 1hr by car (or 1hr30 by public transport) away - and has many Easyjet destinations. London Airports can all be reached easily by public transport from Cardiff - but take longer to get to. The train link Cardiff to London Paddington is only 2 hours - but can be rather expensive. The 'Megabus' is the cheapest way to get to/from London - but takes at least 4 hours.

What else to do while you're here

Wales is a beautiful country - so if you have time to add a few days to your trip, we'd highly recommend you visit the spectacular beaches on the Gower (Three Cliffs Bay and Rhossili especially). For quite different scenery, you can also head inland to the Brecon Beacons.
